Welcome. At Avamere Sherwood we want you, your family and your friends to feel welcomed and comfortable the moment you walk in the door. We are convenient to all modern amenities to make life comfortable, plus we're close to the countryside and can feel and smell the fresh air. The wine country is also only a couple of miles down the road with beautiful scenery and many places to see and enjoy.

We strive to meet The Avamere Family of Companies overall mission daily, which is "to enhance the life of every person we serve." Our management team works collaboratively to ensure the comfort and well-being of each and every one of our residents. And our commitment to their well-being goes well beyond health care. It includes really listening to residents during our forum meetings and arranging activities and trips that they want to do. Many times, it even includes making wishes come true, like accommodating a wish to go to a professional basketball game and meeting the players. Activities are varied, thanks to our fabulous Life Enrichment Directors. For instance we recently went to the casino, another time the tulip festival—and have also hosted health seminars for our residents and families. Our memory care residents visited the Chinese gardens, and have made a wonderful Painted Tile collage with family and friends.

I absolutely love working with seniors. I find it a privilege and very rewarding to see the world from their unique prospective.
