"My mother has been living at Sherwood for almost 2 years now. I am writing you to let you know what a fine job I feel your executive director is doing for you. She is the perfect person to be running your care facility. She has excellent judgment and great communication skills. She has the ability to explain things in a way that makes sense and helps us as the family to make good choices for our loved ones... She is unbelievable! She has helped me and my mom during the hard times. We have gone from mom being pretty independent to needing care in the Arbor [memory care], through a broken hip and back at home...your Executive Director has helped me understand and make the changes my mother has needed. Wow what a package you have in her! I hope when you take the time to do a review with her that you will consider what I am telling you and reward her for her hard work and effort to make Avamere at Sherwood one of the finest care facility's in the Portland area...Thank you for your time and I hope you find this information helpful. "May I say thank you for the wonderful "Candle Light Dinner." You and your staff are due many kudos from the residents of Avamere at Sherwood. One of the best dinners, I can truthfully say I have ever had and a big Thank You to your Chef".
To the Avamere Staff,
"Thank you not just for the July 4th festivities, but for all you do to make us elders feel happy and "younger." Sorry we couldn’t make the fireworks but heard it was great, safe, colorful and fun to see.
The table decorations were very special and we want you to know we do enjoy each special effort you make".
"Thank you for all your compassion and love and caring especially during our mother's last days. It was a blessing and a comfort to know she was surrounded by earth angels!"
